Pinot Grigio, Pinot Gris. Following harvest, the fruit was hand sorted and gently pressed to retain their delicate aromatics. A long, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserved the varietal characteristics of the fruit. Pale straw yellow with greenish reflections in the glass. Has aromas of honeydew melon and lime with notes of pear and peach blossoms. On the palate, the wine opens with bright acidity and citrus notes followed by a smooth, elongated mid-palate with tropical fruit flavors and a long, clean balanced finish. Fresh seafood such as lobster, shrimp, or scallops, as well as poultry dishes like grilled chicken or chicken salad. Chardonnay. The 2020 Classique Chardonnay was produced with fruit from Freedom Hill, Durant, and the winery's own Lange Estate vineyards. It presents a pale yellow color with golden reflections. It is bright and clear, indicating its freshness and purity. Aromas of pear, yellow apple, fresh-baked pastry and blanched almond. Flavors of yellow apple, d’Anjou pear, melon and lemon zest. Flinty and minerality. Supple and fresh body, with steely acidity and persistence. Orchard fruit, lemon zest and crushed stone on the finish.
