It exhibits a medium-high aromatic intensity, with prominent aromas of jam, red fruits, cherries, raspberries, plums, and maple. Medium to full-bodied, well-balanced, with soft tannins. Flavors of preserved red fruits, blackberries, caramel, and vanilla predominate.
Ideal pairings include marinated duck, portobello risotto, roasted quail, and cochinita pibil.
