Red Wine | Mauro | Bodegas y Viñedos Maurodos

$2,131

   Tempranillo.

16 months in French and American oak of various ages.

Intense garnet-red color with violet reflections. It clings to and paints the glass wall, very attractive.

On the nose: The aromas are of top-quality fruit combined with the characteristic minerality of its terroir. Ripe plums, blueberries, and damp earth stand out. Additionally, complex and varied aromas from the oak aging adorn it; spices like licorice and pepper; roasted notes like chocolate and toasted bread. On the palate: It creates a very pleasant impact on the palate, unfolding intense fruit with creamy oak notes. It has robust, densely packed tannins that are also polished and velvety. Great body and well-achieved opulence are found in this red wine.

Pairs well with slow-cooked stews and casseroles. Excellent for filet mignon medallions with chestnut and foie sauce, eggplant mille-feuille with grilled goat cheese and caramelized apple, beef carpaccio with mushroom shavings and Manchego cheese.

   D.O. Ribera del Duero, Valladolid.

    Spain.
